MWL Praises Council of Senior Scholars’ Legal Ruling Concerning Hajj Ritual

Makkah: The Muslim World League (MWL) has welcomed the legal ruling issued by the Council of Senior Scholars in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which, according to Sharia, prohibits performing Hajj rituals without a permit, considering it a sinful act.

MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa stressed that this statement provides a Sharia basis for addressing individual behaviors that harm pilgrims and add burden on authorities that make great efforts and mobilize all their resources to provide the highest levels of services to pilgrims.

He also stressed the need for pilgrims to abide by Hajj procedures that take into consideration the pilgrims’ safety as well as the need to give all Muslims equal chance to perform Hajj, seeing that the holy sites can accommodate only a certain numbers of pilgrims.

y Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for its services to pilgrims, aimed at ensuring that they perform their rituals with ease and tranquility.
