Nahyan bin Mubarak Highlights ADIBF’s Pioneering Role in Enriching UAE’s Educational, Cultural Landscape

Abu Dhabi: Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, visited the 2025 edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF), held under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from 26th April to 5th May. During his tour, Sheikh Nahyan visited a number of prominent cultural pavilions, including the UAE Pavilion, which showcases the nation's literary heritage and the contributions of Emirati writers to the broader Arab cultural scene. He emphasised the fair's pivotal role in strengthening the UAE's position as a global beacon of culture, knowledge, and a hub for Arab and international creativity.

According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Nahyan also explored diverse cultural exhibits, including the National Library of the UAE and the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre. He praised the richness of knowledge on display, which reflects a spirit of intercultural dialogue and promotes the values of coexistence and tolerance. He also commended the fair's integrated cultural program that supports the growth of the publishing sector and the creative industries.

Sheikh Nahyan stated that the 34th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair represents an exceptional cultural event that reflects a vibrant global cultural scene and supports the UAE's vision of building a knowledge-based society. He noted that the fair serves as a bridge between Arab creatives and the world, rooted in the belief that culture is a cornerstone of sustainable development.

He added, 'What we are witnessing today at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair is a remarkable cultural momentum that stems from the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who believes that building a well-educated, knowledgeable citizen is the foundation of a prosperous future for our nation. He also commended the organisers for hosting a distinguished group of Arab authors, poets, and thinkers who are enriching the fair through insightful panels and workshops that inspire younger generations and expand horizons for literary and intellectual dialogue.
