Abu Dhabi: Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, emphasised that the UAE continues to serve as a model for the care and empowerment of people of determination worldwide, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He confirmed the nation’s commitment to enhancing the capabilities of people of determination and expanding their opportunities for societal integration.
According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Nahyan noted that the UAE has achieved a high and distinguished level in the care and rehabilitation of people of determination by following the best standards for comprehensive and integrated care. This approach has positioned the UAE as a global model for inclusion, from which others can benefit. His remarks were made during the receipt of the Re-accreditation certificate for the Future Rehabilitation Centre from the CLM Center for Excellence.

bi, briefed Sheikh Nahyan on the centre’s operational methods, which align with global best practices. The centre offers students services in an educational environment that implements specialised programmes, including the ‘Competent Learner Model’ programme. This programme recently received reaccreditation from the Tucci Learning Solutions Institute in California, USA.
Sheikh Nahyan expressed his satisfaction with the centre’s achievements in rehabilitation and empowerment. He praised the dedication of the centre’s staff and confirmed that the certificate received is a testament to the centre’s excellence and quality of its programmes.
Cathy Scutta, the director of the CLM Center of Excellence in Pennsylvania, highlighted the impact of the Competent Learner Model in enhancing learners’ social behaviour and skill development. She congratulated the Future Rehabilitation Center on its reaccreditation and commended its commitment to maintaining the standards of service delivery.

Mowfaq Mustafa, the Director of the Future Rehabilitation Centre, stated that the CLM programme, since its inception in 2007, has successfully promoted behavioural, intellectual, and cognitive development. The programme integrates Applied Behaviour Analysis, precision teaching, and direct education to enhance social communication skills and independence in students with special needs.
Established in 2000, the Future Rehabilitation Center has a strong track record in educating people of determination. It offers a holistic educational experience to its 146 students, supported by a team of 86 educators, including teachers, therapists, and administrators. The student body is diverse, with Emirati students comprising about 40% of the total.
