Navies of Korea and Canada Conduct Joint Military Drill Off Canadian Coast

Seoul: The navies of the Republic of Korea and Canada conducted a joint military drill this week off the Canadian west coast, as announced by Seoul's military on Saturday. The exercise included significant naval assets from both countries.

According to Emirates News Agency, the drill featured South Korea's 3,000-tonne ROKS Dosan Ahn Chang-ho submarine and the 3,100-tonne frigate Daejeon, accompanied by Navy helicopters. From the Canadian side, the HMCS Corner Brook submarine and Ottawa frigate participated, along with CH-148 shipborne helicopters.

Korea's Navy highlighted that the joint exercises aimed to enhance the operational capabilities of both nations. The naval maneuvers included activities such as anti-ship shooting and anti-submarine warfare, showcasing the strategic collaboration between the two countries.
