‘Nawat Al Qura’ Accelerator Launched to Boost Entrepreneurship in UAE Villages

Al Rams:The Ministry of Economy and Tourism, along with the Emirates Council for Balanced Development (ECBD), has announced the opening of registration for 'Nawat Al Qura', a mobile accelerator designed to support UAE nationals with entrepreneurial ambitions in Emirates Villages.

According to Emirates News Agency, the accelerator aims to assist participants in developing their business models, testing products and services in the market, and preparing growth plans. The initiative's first cycle is set to take place in Al Rams, Ras Al Khaimah, and will last for 24 weeks, supporting 12 projects. Future cycles are planned for additional Emirates Villages.

'Nawat Al Qura', implemented by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism in partnership with ECBD, is part of a broader effort to promote sustainable economic development in Emirates Villages by fostering a supportive business environment for local enterprises. The program is open to UAE nationals aged 18 and above, either individually or in teams of two.

Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, emphasized the importance of empowering Emirati entrepreneurs as a key aspect of economic diversification and aligning with the 'We the UAE 2031' vision. He highlighted the initiative as a significant step in supporting local business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Mohammed Khalifa Al Kaabi, Secretary-General of the Emirates Council for Balanced Development, noted that 'Nawat Al Qura' aligns with the UAE leadership's vision to empower Emiratis by turning their ideas into sustainable businesses. The initiative provides practical support to entrepreneurs, connecting them with markets and growth opportunities.

Participants will receive mentoring and practical training in various business areas, including finance, marketing, and sales. The initiative will also facilitate connections with experts, suppliers, and potential customers, tailoring support to the specific needs and stages of each project.

The Ministry and ECBD encourage interested individuals to check eligibility requirements and register for 'Nawat Al Qura' by October 30, 2026.
