NMDC LTS and Jiangsu Huaying Valves Sign MoU for Valve Facility in UAE

Abu Dhabi: NMDC LTS, a division of the NMDC Group renowned for its expertise in engineering, procurement, construction, and marine dredging, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jiangsu Huaying Valves Co. Ltd. This collaboration, revealed at the Make it in the Emirates forum, aims to explore the establishment of a joint venture in the UAE. The planned facility will focus on assembling, fabricating, and distributing valves specifically for the energy sector.

According to Emirates News Agency, Jiangsu Huaying, based in China, is a prominent manufacturer and supplier specializing in the design and production of valves for various industrial applications, including oil and gas, petrochemicals, and power generation. By teaming up with NMDC LTS, the company aims to expand its reach and bolster its presence in the Middle East.

NMDC LTS, which focuses on logistics and technical services within the NMDC Group, intends to capitalize on its extensive regional relationships within the energy sector. The collaboration aims to harness the UAE's strategic position and industrial capabilities to ensure the success of this venture.

Peter Marvin, Chief Technical and Resource Pool Officer of NMDC LTS, highlighted the significance of this partnership by stating, "With more than 40 years of NMDC Group's experience and expertise in the region, NMDC LTS is leveraging the global attractiveness of the UAE's industrial and energy sectors for international partners. We are also showing the true power of collaboration, where both NMDC LTS and Jiangsu Huaying will apply joint expertise at scale to ensure the development of solutions that are both locally and globally sought after in the energy sector and adjacent industries."

The partnership aligns with the Make it in the Emirates (MIITE) initiative, which seeks to drive industrial growth in the UAE. NMDC Group is showcasing its role in propelling Abu Dhabi's development while contributing to the UAE's efforts to enhance its modern landscape and stimulate the local economy.

The NMDC Group is also announcing several strategic partnerships and will provide updates on its international projects. These include activities in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Taiwan, and Vietnam, in addition to ongoing work in the UAE.
