No Radiation Consequences from Israeli Strike on Isfahan Facility: IAEA

Isfahan: The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed today that there were no radiation-related consequences following Israel’s strike on a centrifuge manufacturing facility in Isfahan, Iran. This marked the second time the facility has been targeted since the escalation of the conflict.

According to Emirates News Agency, the IAEA Director-General, Rafael Grossi, stated that the attacked site was a centrifuge production workshop, the third such facility targeted in Israeli operations linked to Iran’s nuclear programme. Grossi emphasized, ‘We know this facility well. There were no nuclear materials at the site, and therefore, the attack has not resulted in any radiological consequences.’

Earlier, the Israeli military acknowledged having conducted an overnight strike on the Iranian nuclear research facility. The attack signifies ongoing tensions in the region, with nuclear sites becoming focal points in the conflict.

In response, Akbar Salehi, Deputy Security Chief of Isfahan Province, indicated the Israeli strikes caused damage to the facility but reported no casualties. This development continues to draw attention to the complex dynamics of security and diplomacy in the Middle East.
