Noura Al Jasmi wins membership of Olympic Council of Asia’s Executive Board

NEW DELHI: Noura Al Jasmi, member of the Board of Directors of the UAE National Olympic Committee and President of the UAE Badminton Federation, has won the membership of the Executive Board of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) for the 2024-2028 electoral cycle, during the elections held today, as part of the General Assembly of the Council in the Indian capital, New Delhi. This is the first time that a representative of the UAE has won this membership through election. Al Jasmi received 43 votes, which is the full number of countries participating in the voting process. Al Jasmi expressed her happiness with this achievement, which reflects the great confidence in the Emirati cadres, and is a great incentive to give and excel in the coming period. She said: "Our ambition is great to elevate of the UAE profile n various international forums, and through this position there will be a great opportunity to accomplish more achievements."
