OIC deplores strongly extremist settlers’ growing crimes in West Bank

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned on Friday the daily and organized terror and crimes committed by Israeli extremist settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, namely the recent crime and attack on Jit town near Qalqilya in the occupied West Bank on Thursday.

This is extended aggression launched by Israeli occupation on Palestinian people and their sanctities, in a blatant violation of humanitarian international law, the OIC said in a statement, holding Israeli occupation full accountable.

It called on the international community, mainly the UN Security Council, to assume its responsibilities towards the need of providing international protection to Palestinian people and ensure an immediate and comprehensive halt of this aggression launched on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Al-Quds al-Sharif.

The OIC renewed its call for the international community to necessarily press Israeli occupation to comply with dismantling all its settlements and terror
ist militias in the occupied Palestinian territories, lifting legal and political protection given to them, designating them as a terror organization and ending illegal occupation of Palestine’s land, according to the statement.

Meanwhile, Palestinian Health Ministry said Thursday that a Palestinian young man was martyred by some Israeli settlers who stormed Qalqilya.

The man arrived at Rufaida Hospital in Jit town near Qalqilya with fatal bullet injuries in the chest and he succumbed to the injuries later on, the Palestinian Health Ministry said in a statement.

Some armed settlers attacked the town and fired live ammunition towards citizens, causing critical injuries to some, Palestine Information and News (Wafa) reported.
