Oil prices: Oil prices rose for a fifth day on Thursday. Brent crude futures increased by $2.42, or 2.6 percent, reaching $96.49 by 0640 GMT. This marks the highest price since June 8th, having previously settled up more than $3 at $94.07 in the previous session, nearing a six-week high.
According to Emirates News Agency, US West Texas Intermediate crude also saw a rise, climbing $1.59, or 1.8 percent, to $88.42, following a 3 percent increase on Wednesday. The consistent rise in oil prices over the past five days highlights the ongoing fluctuations in the global oil market.
