Abu dhabi: Oil prices jumped about 6% on Monday. International benchmark Brent futures rose $6.27, or 5.8%, to settle at $114.44 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude rose $4.48, or 4.4%, to settle at $106.42.

According to Emirates News Agency, the significant increase in oil prices reflects ongoing market dynamics and geopolitical tensions impacting supply chains across the globe. This surge underscores the volatility in the energy markets, influenced by demand fluctuations and production adjustments among major oil producers.
