Damascus, On August 1st, Syrians celebrate the 77th anniversary of founding the Syrian Arab Army which has always sacrificed to defended the homeland in the face of colonizers and to preserve its deep-rooted civilization and consolidate the humanitarian values.
Since its inception in 1945, the history of the Syrian Arab Army has been full of honorable struggle and battles of heroism that it fought in defense of the dignity of the homeland as it participated in the war to expel the Zionists from Palestine in 1948.
After the Zionist enemy, backed by the United States and the colonial West, carried out its aggression in 1967 and occupied more Arab lands, the valiant Syrian army rushed to respond to the aggression and liberate what was usurped and fought with the Egyptian army on October 6, 1973, in October Liberation War in which the arrogance of the occupation forces, which claimed it is indomitable was shattered.
The ideological army completed its leading role at the level of the nation on the land of brotherly Lebanon in the eighties to stop the Israeli invasion and was a major aid to the Lebanese national resistance until most of the lands of the south were liberated in 2000 and till the defeat of the Israeli enemy in 2006.
Today, after more than eleven years of fighting terrorism on the homeland, the Syrian Arab Army on the anniversary of its founding day is stronger and more determined to clear what is left of the homeland.
The Syrian Arab Army has achieved many successive victories against terrorist organizations and their sponsors, on top, the Turkish regime which is desperately trying to protect its mercenaries.
Throughout the years of the aggressive terrorist war waged against Syria, the Syrian Army has been fighting terrorism on behalf of the whole world on most of the Syrian territory as it has been able to liberate Aleppo City, Deir Ezzor, Homs northern countryside, large areas of Hama northern and northeastern countryside and Damascus Ghouta reaching the provinces of Quneitra and Daraa and Homs Badia (semi desert) and Deir Ezzor Badia and then the rest of Hama countryside and a large number of cities and villages in Idleb southern countryside, the most important of which have been Khan Sheikhoun, Saraqeb and Ma’aret al-Nu’aman.
The army, which carries out its tasks based on the national military doctrine, set its posts in October 2019 in Tabqah military airport and in the town of Ain Issa in the northern countryside of Raqqa province, and in a large number of villages and towns in the southern and southwestern countryside of Raqqa, northern countryside of Hasaka and in the city of Manbej in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo.
On the anniversary of its founding, the Syrian Arab Army personnel spare no effort to liberate every inch of the Syrian territory of terrorism and the occupied Syrian Golan of the Israeli occupation entity.
