In its session, headed by the Speaker of the Council, Yahya Ali Al-Rai, the House of Representatives heard the clarifications of the government side, represented by the Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals, Yasser Al-Wahidi, and in the presence of the Minister of State for the Affairs of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council in the caretaker government. At the beginning of the session, which was attended by the Director General of the General Oil and Gas Corporation, Mahmoud Al-Noum, and the Deputy Director of the Oil Company, Rami Hanab, the Speaker of the House of Representatives welcomed the government side, appreciating their presence to clarify the extent of the stability of the food supply situation. The Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals confirmed that the Ministry has taken all measures regard ing monitoring the supply situation and that there is no truth to the rumors being circulated to create a state of panic among citizens regarding oil and gas. He reassured citizens that the food supply situation is stable and that household oil and gas are available at all stations in the capital secretariat and the governorates, pointing to the practical measures taken by the ministry and the two oil and gas companies since dawn on Friday, stressing the ministry's keenness and interest in following up on the work team concerned with this. He explained that there is a special mechanism for transporting materials through appropriate means of transportation, and that it has not stopped and will continue, stressing that the ministry has sufficient stock of oil and gas to cover the needs of the local market for several months. In the session, the Speaker of the House of Representatives stressed the importance of activating the regulatory agencies to monitor the extent of the sales stations' commitment to provi ding domestic oil and gas to citizens. He also stressed the importance of refuting rumors spread by weak-minded people with the aim of creating crises, stressing the importance of observing laws and adhering to conditions and controls that preserve investors' rights, leading to the provision of oil and gas and meeting the needs of the local market at appropriate prices. In the context of their discussions, the parliamentarians stressed the importance of maintaining the stability of the supply of domestic oil and gas in a way that meets the needs of citizens in the capital secretariat and the governorates of the republic.
