Baghdad The Prime Minister, Muhammad Al-Sudani, met with the Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, Ahmed Al-Saadoun.
Al-Sudani stressed, according to a statement by his media office: “The depth of the relationship between the two brotherly neighbors reinforces the importance of developing their societal bonds through various activities, after the two countries were able to overcome the effects of the past .”
Al-Sudani pointed out: “The importance of developing the relationship between the Iraqi parliament and the Kuwaiti National Assembly, at the level of committees, and increasing mutual meetings.”
For his part, Al-Saadoun congratulated the Prime Minister on the occasion of winning the confidence of the House of Representatives, and stressed his readiness to support everything that would strengthen the relationship between the peoples of Iraq and Kuwait.
The two sides discussed the distinguished and solid relations that unite the two brotherly countries, stressing the importance of developing cooperation at the parliamentary, governmental and societal levels between Iraq and Kuwait, and bilateral coordination on issues of common interest, regionally and internationally.
