Damascus, President Bashar al-Assad received on Saturday a letter of condolence and support to Syria from President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, conveyed by Special Envoy of Tajik President, Ambassador Zubaydullah Zubaydov.
President al-Assad considered, during his meeting with ambassador Zubaydov, the standing of Tajikistan government and people by Syria in this ordeal would have a good impact on the Syrian people, and stressed the importance of enhancing mutual relations that link the two countries at all levels to serve the mutual interests of the two friendly people.
Ambassador Zubaydov indicated that his visit comes to confirm Tajikistan’s standing by Syria and its readiness to provide any assistance to the Syrian people because at such humanitarian catastrophes, the countries of the world and their peoples should stand by each other.
The Tajik Ambassador expressed his confidence that the Syrian people is capable of overcoming this ordeal with the same determination and strength in which they faced the terrorist war against their country.
Zubaydov underlined Tajikistan’s keenness to develop friendly relations with Syria in issues of mutual concern, considering that Syria’s security and stability are essential and necessary for the security and stability of the Middle East region.
