President Calls for Rain Prayer on Saturday.


Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has called for a prayer for rain, known in Arabic as Salaat Al Istisqaa, to be performed at all mosques across the UAE, on Saturday, 7th December, at 11:00 am: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has urged citizens and residents to engage in the Salaat Al Istisqaa, a traditional prayer seeking rain and mercy from Allah Almighty.

According to Emirates News Agency,this call for communal prayer aligns with the Sunnah, or traditions, of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. The President’s appeal emphasizes the importance of collective supplication and faith in seeking divine blessings for rainfall during this period.

The Salaat Al Istisqaa holds significant cultural and religious value as it is rooted in Islamic traditions. The President’s initiative aims to unite the community in a shared spiritual practice, reinforcing the cultural heritage and spiritual beliefs of the nation.
