President of Kyrgyzstan Receives CEO of SFD

Bishkek– The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, received here today, the CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Sultan Al-Marshad and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Saudi Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Ibrahim bin Radi Al-Radi, and other officials from the Kyrgyz side.

The President’s reception comes during the visit of the SFD’s delegation to Kyrgyzstan with the aim of laying the foundation stone for the project to rehabilitate and expand the General Children’s Emergency Hospital in Bishkek, and inaugurate the 14th model public school, as part of a comprehensive project to construct 30 public schools in various regions in the republic.

Japarov expressed his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, for their support to the Kyrgyz Republic, praising the efforts of the SFD in implementing projects and development programs in Kyrgyzstan.

For his part, Al-Marshad stressed that this development support from the SFD is an extension of the development cooperation between the two sides, which has spanned over 10 years.

During the meeting, they also discussed a number of issues related to development projects financed by the Fund in Kyrgyzstan.
