President of the Federation of Arab Journalists: The visit of the Jordanian media delegation to Baghdad achieved important messages

Baghdad, The President of the Federation of Arab Journalists, the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayad Al-Lami, described the visit of the Jordanian media delegation to the capital, Baghdad, as a successful and fruitful visit that delivered important messages towards strengthening cooperation and historical relations rooted between the two brotherly countries, especially in the media field.

Al-Lami said, in statements to the official Jordanian News Agency, “Petra”, that “the discussions of the Jordanian media delegation and its meetings with Iraqi officials, in the presence of the Jordanian ambassador to Baghdad, Montaser Al-Aqla Al- Zoubi, confirm the determination to implement many important projects for the two countries in the economic, security and media fields, and the importance of the media’s role in accelerating these steps for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples.

He added, “The continuous visits of Jordanian delegations to Baghdad confirm the depth of the relationship between the two countries and the continuity of coordination for the success of future plans, strengthen joint cooperation, and both countries attach great importance to it.

He indicated that one of the most important results of the visit was the agreement to establish an effective joint media platform that could include Arab countries.

Al-Lami stressed, “The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate will continue its work with the aim of concluding joint agreements and memorandums of cooperation within visions that urge the speedy implementation of projects of interest to Amman and Baghdad.”

He explained, “The media institutions in the two brotherly countries have a great presence and influence in the Arab media scene,” pointing to the importance of exchanging professional media expertise and experiences to combat rumors and distortion of facts, stressing the importance of supporting all efforts aimed at strengthening joint Arab media cooperation.

In turn, the members of the media delegation, which included a number of general directors of media institutions, editor-in-chiefs of newspapers, and representatives of the Jordanian Journalists Syndicate Council, confirmed, in press statements published in Baghdad, their appreciation and pride for this visit, which came in response to an official invitation from the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, and their appreciation and pride for their meetings with senior Iraqi officials who emphasized the strength of the sincere brotherly relations between the two countries and the keenness to enhance cooperation in various fields, including cooperation in the field of journalism, information technology and digital media.
