Minister of Water and Environment of the caretaker government Eng. Abdul Raqeeb al-Shurmani has met with local secretary-general of Mahweet province Dr. Ali al-Zaikam. Al-Shurmani and al-Zaikam focused on reviewing the outcomes from the Corporation's Board of Directors meeting. Critical points for Ministerial approval included the emergency needs plan for the Corporation and its branches, which will be presented to donors and supporters as urgent priorities. Discussions also covered the expansion strategy of the Corporation, including establishing new branches in the province and the procedures for making the city branch an independent area affiliated with the corporation. The issuance of the water basin decision and the job description for the corporation were also on the agenda. Minister Al-Shurmani stressed the necessity of supporting the local water and sanitation corporation to enhance drinking water services and ease the citizens' suffering amid ongoing challenges from aggression and siege.
