Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index started trading Thursday, up by 0.22 percent to add 23.48 points to its balance and thus the general index rose to 10,752 points, compared to Wednesday’s closing.
QSE figures indicated the positive performance of the insurance sector, which increased by 2.11 percent, followed by the transportation sector by 1.63 percent, the real estate sector by 0.59 percent, then the consumer goods and services sector by 0.44 percent and the bank and financial services sector by 0.23 percent. On the other hand, the performance was negative for the telecommunications sector by 0.01 percent and the industrial sector by 0.17 percent.
At 10:00 am, Qatari Stock Exchange recorded transactions worth QR 110.593 million, distributed to 48.108 million shares, by the implementation of 3,567 transactions.
