QatarEnergy Halts LNG Production Amid Military Offensive


Doha: QatarEnergy has announced the suspension of its liquefied natural gas (LNG) production following military attacks on its facilities located in Ras Laffan Industrial City and Mesaieed Industrial City. The company’s decision comes in response to recent assaults that have significantly impacted its operational capabilities.



According to Emirates News Agency, QatarEnergy released a statement through Qatar News Agency (QNA) confirming the cessation of LNG and associated products’ production. The statement highlighted the direct impact of the military offensive on the company’s key industrial locations, leading to the temporary halt.



QatarEnergy also emphasized its commitment to maintaining communication with all stakeholders, stating that it “values its relationship with all its stakeholders and will continue to communicate the latest available information.” The company is actively monitoring the situation and aims to resume operations as soon as it is safe and feasible to do so.
