Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday to discuss the situations in Gaza Strip and other occupied Palestinian territories. In a phone conversation, initiated by President Macron, both leaders reviewed the bilateral ties and ways to enhance cooperation in various fields, according to a statement from the Qatari Amiri Diwan. The French leader appreciated the role of Qatar in protecting the safety of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games. On his part, Sheikh Tamim expressed hope for success of France in hosting the games, the statement added. Source: Kuwait News Agency
