Revenue of Russian IT Sector Reaches $38.94 Billion in Q1

Moscow: The combined revenue from sales of services and products by Russia's IT sector totaled 2.86 trillion rubles ($38.94 billion) in January-March, according to data from the Digital Economy autonomous non-profit organisation. This marks an 8% increase compared to the first quarter of 2025.

According to Emirates News Agency, the data were compiled based on statistics from IT companies accredited by the Russian Digital Development Ministry, as reported by TASS. Revenue from sales of companies' own products and services amounted to 2.26 trillion rubles ($30.77 billion), reflecting a 21% year-on-year increase. The share of these sales in the overall revenue structure rose to 79.2%, up from 70.5% in January-March 2025.

This growth "indicates a strengthening contribution of domestic developments and services to the sector's economy," the organisation stated, highlighting the expanding role of locally developed products and services in bolstering the sector's economic performance.
