Russian Duma demands that Biden be tried before he starts world war after aggression against Yemen

The Speaker of the Russian State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, called on Saturday for the trial of US President Joe Biden before he starts a world war, following the US-British aggression against Yemen.

Volodin wrote, via his Telegram account, saying: ‘Washington has committed an attack on a sovereign state, bypassing international law and ignoring the United Nations Charter.’ He added: ‘If the United States is a state of law, then Biden must be tried before he begins a world war, and he clings to power with all his might.’

He believed that “Biden needs a small, victorious war to distract voters’ attention from the failures in Ukraine and the problems of the United States,” noting that “this is why the Biden administration did not notify Congress of the attack.”

The position of the Speaker of the Russian Duma comes after the United States of America and Britain launched, at dawn on Friday, a military aggression against the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, in addition to the governorates of Hodeida, Sa’ada, Dhamar, Tai
z, and Hajjah.

Russian presidential spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, had announced earlier that his country condemns the strikes carried out by the United States and Britain on Yemen, which are illegal, noting that ‘the resolution adopted in the Security Council regarding Yemen does not grant any right to carry out strikes.’
