Saqr Ghobash receives ambassadors of Kuwait, Egypt, IraqAl-Manfi discusses with the French Ambassador the developments of the political, economic and military situation in Libya.

ABU DHABI: Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), held separate meetings with Jamal Al Ghunaim, Ambassador of Kuwait to the UAE; Sharif Eissa, Ambassador of Egypt to the UAE, and Dr. Mudhaffar Mustafa Al-Jubouri, Ambassador of Iraq to the UAE, at the FNC headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The meetings discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields, particularly the activation of parliamentary cooperation between the FNC and the parliaments of these countries. They also emphasised the importance of exchanging parliamentary visits and experiences, and enhancing coordination and consultations on various issues of mutual concern. Ghobash noted that the FNC makes tireless efforts to advance bilateral relations with their countries across all sectors, in addition to seeking to boost parliamentary cooperation. For their part, the ambassadors congratulated the FNC Speaker on his re-election, wishing further progress and prosperity for the UAE. According to the media office of the President of the Council, at the beginning of the meeting, Maharaj expressed his appreciation for the role of the President of the Council in bringing viewpoints closer between the Libyan parties, and his tireless efforts that he is leading to bring the country to a stage of stability through free and transparent elections in which all Libyans participate without excluding any party. In turn, Al-Manfi praised the French role in supporting the Libyan issue and the President of the Council in all his steps to accomplish the upcoming entitlements, in a way that fulfills the aspirations and hopes of the Libyan people for holding simultaneous parliamentary and presidential elections, and their endeavor to settle the Libyan cris is through the paths of a political solution.
