Ras Al Khaimah: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, today received a delegation from the United Kingdom's Royal College of Defence Studies. The delegation was led by Philip Parham, Director at the College and former UK Ambassador to the UAE.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting took place at His Highness' palace in Saqr bin Mohammed City. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Public Services Department in Ras Al Khaimah, was also present at the meeting. H.H. Sheikh Saud welcomed the delegation and was informed about the College's academic programmes, especially those related to strategic and defence studies.
During the discussions, RAK Ruler praised the Royal College of Defence Studies for its role in preparing senior military leaders around the world. He emphasized its contributions to enhancing analytical and strategic thinking and improving understanding of global security and defence issues.
Furthermore, H.H. Sheikh Saud stressed the importance of international partnerships in strategic studies and applauded the efforts of academic institutions in promoting security and stability both regionally and internationally.
The visiting delegation expressed their gratitude for the hospitality extended by His Highness. They also commended the UAE's progress in defence, security, and strategic education, acknowledging the nation as a model for fostering stability on both regional and global scales.
