Riyadh, Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Bilad newspaper stated in its editorial that the development map in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing unprecedented progress in various fields. Such integrated system of economic and development programs are set to achieve the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030, the paper said.
Saudi Arabia recorded a distinguished presence in this direction with unprecedented projects and cities that set new standards for the quality of life, the paper added.
In this regard, the launch of the smart cities strategy aims to transform the services of the municipal and housing sector into smart services through using of digital and the Internet of Things (IoT) to provide services that promote economic prosperity, environmental sustainability and effective government oversight, the paper concluded.
Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported in its editorial that the credit rating is one of the most important indicators of economic reform for any country or economic entity in the world.
In this regard, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) has obtained a high credit ratings from Moody’s and Fitch, the paper said.
Such high rating confirms the unprecedented progress of PIF’s business since it was restructured by Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs (CEDA) in 2015, the paper added.
This high rating reflects PIF’s vital role in the national economy in addition to its importance in achieving the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia vision 2030, the paper concluded.
Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provides unremitting support for the various components of the local economy, the opportunities, the services and investments in various fields.
This great support is main factor for achieving sustainable development and comprehensive national renaissance, according to the goals of Saudi Arabia vision 2030. the vision, the paper said.
In this regard, the Cabinet decided in its regulary session held Tuesday under chairmanship of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud that Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority has the right to offer financial support to targeted institutions on the e-billing list whose annual revenues do not exceed SAR 3,000,000, the paper added.
The step reflects the unlimited support being provided for small and medium enterprises in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and confirms that the strategic vision for the components of the economy and local opportunities is a comprehensive vision in its goals and programs, the paper concluded.
