Saudi Minister of Industry Meets British Minister of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy

Sharm el-Sheikh, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has met with the British Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Grant Shapps, on the sidelines of the Saudi Green Initiative forum, held in conjunction with COP27 Summit hosted by the city of Sharm El-Sheikh, Arab Republic of Egypt.

During the meeting, they discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the two kingdoms in the industrial and mining sectors, and exchanged views on a number of issues of interest to the two countries, thus contributing to raising the level of cooperation in the two sectors.

The meeting also discussed benefiting from the experiences between the two countries in the mining sector, including the critical minerals strategy, which aims to enhance the value of critical minerals needed in future industries and follow up on current and future global demand, in addition to finding a continuous list of these minerals in preparation for their investment.

The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources also invited the British Minister of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, to attend the International Mining Conference to be held in Riyadh next January.
