Saudi Physics Team Realizes Second Achievement in One Month, Wins Global Award in AphO 2022

Riyadh, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba” and the Ministry of Education, has achieved a Saudi and Arab achievement through winning a global award in Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO – 2022), which was held remotely in India between May 25 and 31, from among 128 students from 28 countries, increasing its balance of awards to 10, including two bronze and 8 certificates of appreciation.

Acting Secretary General of Mawhiba Dr. Amal Al-Hazzaa said that this achievement is the second within a month for the Saudi physics team, which granted the homeland three global awards in the Nordic-Baltic Physics Olympiad 2022 that was hosted by Estonia between April 22 and 24, noting that this win reflects the strategic partnership and joining efforts between Mawhiba and its partners with the Ministry of Education and King Abdullah University for Science and Technology and their strategic partners to realize global achievements and awards.
