Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) held educational and awareness events across Saudi Arabia to mark World First Aid Day, which falls on September 14.
The theme this year was “First Aid and Sports”.
At various public locations across the Kingdom, participants learned essential first-aid skills through interactive training sessions led by emergency medical services specialists.
Using training dolls, they practiced techniques such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), treating choking, and managing sports injuries. Also showcased was the latest first aid equipment, including the LUCAS device, an advanced mechanical system that provides continuous chest compressions during CPR.
SRCA highlighted the importance of first aid in saving lives. Public and private agencies took part in the events to raise public awareness about how to respond to sports-related emergencies like injuries, fainting, suffocation, burns, fractures, and other common ailments.
