Minister of Sport and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC) Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Sunday in Paris with First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The MoU aims to enhance cooperation between the Saudi Ministry of Sport and the Bahraini GSA in the sports sector. It specifically covers areas such as sports investment and marketing, sports facility management and maintenance, the development of sports facility investment mechanisms, the establishment of academies and talent scouting, sports staff training and development, long-term player programs, and the management of sports events, including exhibitions, tournaments, and competitions. Additionally, it seeks to promote community sports, women's sports, Paralympic sports, and combat sports, as well as collaboratio n in sports medicine and anti-doping efforts. The Ministry of Sport aims, through signing MoUs, to explore ways for cooperation with various local and international entities.
