Saudi Water Forum 2024 to Convene in Riyadh on April 29-May 1; Gather Global Water Experts


Riyadh: The third session of the Saudi Water Forum (SWF) 2024, organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture in Riyadh, is set to commence from April 29 to May 1, 2024, under the theme “Water Sustainability: Our Responsibility”. The forum aims to establish an international scientific platform gathering experts, researchers, and investors in the water sector to address its challenges and develop integrated solutions.

Over eight scientific sessions, featuring participation from experts and specialists from both within and outside Saudi Arabia, the forum will cover various water-related topics. These include innovation in the desalination industry, optimizing dam water usage, and fostering inter-sectoral cooperation to enhance sustainability and efficiency. Additionally, discussions will focus on improving the operational efficiency and sustainability of assets, as well as augmenting water resource sustainability within Saudi Arabia. Topics will also explore the efficacy and dependability of
water services, the integration of artificial intelligence and modern tools in the water industry, and the reuse of renewable water to bolster water security and irrigation sustainability. Furthermore, the forum will delve into water transport systems and strategic storage.

Now in its third session, the Saudi Water Forum has achieved significant milestones since its inception in 2019, garnering broad participation from prominent international organizations and bodies. This has solidified its standing as a leader in innovation and water technology, as well as in the implementation of best practices for water management and sustainability.
