Second Batch of UAE Aid for Lebanese Mothers Arrives as Part of ‘UAE Stands with Lebanon Campaign’.


Abu Dhabi: As part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign, two planes carrying 80 tonnes of supplies have landed, marking the second batch of contributions from Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, known as the Mother of the Nation. Sheikha Fatima serves as Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation.

According to Emirates News Agency, the contributions from the ‘Mother of the Nation’ amount to a total of 160 tonnes of supplies dispatched to aid Lebanese women affected by the ongoing conflict, delivered through four relief flights. These humanitarian efforts are guided by the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and are followed up by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development and International Organisations and Member of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council, highlighted the UAE’s commitment to providing humanitarian aid to those facing challenges due to conflicts and disasters. He emphasized that these efforts reflect the legacy of the UAE’s Founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Al Shamsi noted, “The second batch of contributions from Her Highness, the Mother of the Nation, included basic supplies and essentials needed for the mothers in Lebanon. Her Highness is renowned for her commitment to empowering women during conflicts and crises, and providing support in a variety of fields worldwide to ensure that they obtain their basic needs.”

Al Shamsi also affirmed that the UAE will continue to support those affected
in Lebanon, including the wounded and injured, by partnering with international entities to provide timely food, medical, and shelter assistance necessary for early recovery and stability. The first contribution of supplies from Her Highness was delivered in late October via two relief planes carrying 80 tonnes of materials.
