Security Personnel Promoted Following Sharjah Ruler’s Directives

Sharjah: In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, 1,232 personnel from the emirate's security bodies have been granted new ranks following the cancellation of the 'Senior Assistant' and 'Chief Assistant' ranks.

According to Emirates News Agency, the modifications will apply retrospectively to members of the Sharjah Police General Command, the Amiri Guard General Command, the Sharjah Police Academy, and the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority beginning 26th March 2025.

Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, expressed his gratitude for His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah's directions and his support for the emirate's security professionals. He reiterated that this programme represents the leadership's commitment to recognising security personnel's dedication, as well as their long-term approach to developing national talent.

He expressed his commitment to continuing efforts to strengthen the security system and the quality of life in the UAE, particularly in Sharjah.
