Settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Thursday under the protection of the Israeli occupation police.
Palestinian news agency (Wafa) quoted eyewitnesses as saying that various groups of settlers broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Mughrabi Gate, carried out provocative tours at its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals.
The occupation police turned the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem into a military barracks, tightened their military measures and imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers.
Extremist groups of settlers called for a major storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the raising of occupation flags inside it.
