Khorfakkan:The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has finalized the development of a pumping station, storage tanks, and an extended water network in the Nahwa area of Khorfakkan, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance services to the heritage village development project in the region.
According to Emirates News Agency, Engineer Saud Abdulaziz, Director of the Khorfakkan Department at SEWA, highlighted that the new infrastructure in Nahwa strengthens the area's water supply system. He emphasized SEWA's commitment to incorporating smart technology to boost operational efficiency and ensure sustainable services.
The project includes an advanced pumping station, water storage tanks, and a comprehensive distribution network equipped with modern operating and monitoring systems. These components are designed to enhance pumping efficiency, increase storage capacity, and ensure a consistent water supply to meet current and future demands.
Additionally, SEWA is intensifying efforts to deliver electricity and water services to the Heritage Village in Nahwa. This work involves setting up a 1,500 kVA electrical distribution substation and laying 1,600 meters of 11 kV high-voltage cables to secure the necessary power supply and improve network efficiency and reliability in the area.
For water services, a 500-meter water network has been installed to cater to the Heritage Village development's needs and ensure readiness to serve its facilities.
