SEWA Proposes AI-Driven Initiatives to Enhance Service Efficiency

Sharjah:The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has organized an interactive workshop aimed at identifying and developing innovative projects leveraging artificial intelligence (AI). This initiative is part of SEWA's broader efforts to accelerate digital transformation and adopt smart solutions across its services.

According to Emirates News Agency, the workshop led to the proposal of six AI-driven projects that focus on improving service delivery and operational efficiency. These projects include the use of AI in corporate knowledge management to preserve expertise and facilitate knowledge transfer, as well as enhancing water connection services by streamlining procedures and improving application readiness and inspections.

Additional projects explore proactive services, such as verifying application requirements before submission to expedite processing and avoid delays. There is also a focus on cybersecurity, with AI enabling faster responses and alerts to security incidents. Another project aims at smart consumption and sustainability by analyzing electricity, water, and gas consumption to promote efficient resource use.

The final proposed initiative involves automating the review of applications for no-objection certificates, which is expected to accelerate document checks and enhance the customer experience. These projects represent a significant step towards transforming innovative ideas into practical initiatives for further assessment and development, aligning with SEWA's vision for smarter, more efficient, and sustainable service offerings.
