SFD CEO receives Ukrainian Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food

Riyadh, The CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Sultan bin Abdul Rahman Al-Marshad received today, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Roman Leshchenko, in the presence of the Ukrainian Deputy Ambassador Serhiy Pushkarsky and Counselor at the Ukrainian embassy in Riyadh Aleksey Tsukanov.

During the meeting, which discussed the Kingdom’s development efforts and the development projects and programs financed by the Fund to support developing countries, Al-Marshad said SFD contributes to supporting developing countries to achieve the goals of the 17 sustainable development plans approved by the UN General Assembly in 2015, which contributes to achieving economic and social growth.

Leshchenko expressed his appreciation of the Kingdom for its unlimited support in implementing development in developing countries and for its interest in the projects supported by the Fund in the agricultural and infrastructure sectors.

SFD is one of the largest active entities in providing development assistance. Since 1975, it has contributed to helping achieve stability and prosperity for many developing countries with the number of projects financed by the Fund amounted to 694 projects and development programs, benefiting more than 84 developing countries in various sectors, which corresponds to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its goals of achieving prosperity and providing social and economic support for developing countries.
