ADDIS ABABA: Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, met with Taye Atsekelasie, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia, in the capital Addis Ababa. The two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation in various fields. Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan conveyed the greetings of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, to Taye Atsekelasie, and his wishes for his country for further development and growth. For his part, Taye Atsekelasie conveyed his greetings to H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as his wishes for further progress and prosperity for the government of the UAE. Furthermore, Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan underlined the advanced ties between the UAE and Ethiopia, underscoring the promising opportunities for further cooperation that achieve the mutual interests of the two nations and peoples. During the visit, She ikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan and Ahmed Shide, Ethiopian Minister of Finance, attended the signing ceremony of the Aysha-1 wind project agreement in partnership with the Emirati company AMEA Power in the capital, Addis Ababa. The project costs USD 620 million and is considered the largest wind energy project in the Horn of Africa. The agreement was signed on the Emirati side by Hussain Al Nowais, Chairman of AMEA Power.
