Brazzaville: On behalf of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, was present at the inauguration ceremony of Denis Sassou Nguesso, President of the Republic of the Congo. The ceremony took place in the capital city, Brazzaville, following Nguesso's re-election for a new presidential term.
According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Shakhboot conveyed the greetings of the UAE's leadership, including President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to President Nguesso. He extended their congratulations and best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the Congolese government and its people.
Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan emphasized the mutual commitment of the UAE and the Republic of the Congo to further enhance bilateral relations, particularly under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the two nations. This agreement aims to strengthen economic ties and promote shared interests.
In response, President Nguesso sent his greetings to the UAE leadership and expressed his appreciation for the UAE's participation in the inauguration ceremony. He reaffirmed his dedication to bolstering bilateral cooperation to serve the interests of both countries and their citizens.
