Shaqra Governor Inaugurates Fourth Shaqra Pepper Festival

Shaqra Governor Adel bin Abdullah Al-Bawardi inaugurated the fourth Shaqra Pepper Festival, held under the patronage of Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz between July 28 and August 6, 2024. Public and the private sector representatives, investors, farmers and people interested in pepper cultivation and production attended the inauguration. Al-Bawardi thanked Prince Faisal for the support he lends the festival, testimony to the leadership's support for the agricultural sector and endeavor to empower farmers to market their produce and increase their income, and said that Shaqra Governorate has a long history in the field of agriculture, which is the main source of income for its inhabitants. According to Al-Bawardi, the pepper festival is held annually in the governorate to market various types of pepper and help increase farmers' income. Among the activities of the festival, which is organized by the National Company for Agricultural Services, are specialized workshops and l ectures delivered by specialists on the cultivation and production of chili pepper, and ways to improve industries that process them.
