Sharjah and World Telugu IT Council Partner to Boost Global Innovation

Sharjah:Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SPARK) has formed a strategic partnership with the World Telugu Information Technology Council (WTITC) in India. The collaboration aims to enhance international cooperation in technology, research, innovation, investment, and business development, fostering new opportunities for collaboration between Sharjah and the global Telugu technology and business community.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at SPARK headquarters by Dr. Fareed Mahmoud Abdalla Alameeri, Chief Strategy Officer of SPARK, and Sundeep Kumar Makthala, Chairman of WTITC. The partnership will focus on cooperation in applied research, technology development and transfer, technology validation, pilot projects, knowledge and talent exchange, and business expansion across Sharjah, the UAE, and the wider GCC region.

SPARK provides a government-supported innovation ecosystem that integrates government, academia, research institutions, and industry, offering infrastructure and partnerships for research, prototyping, technology development, commercialization, and market access. WTITC, on the other hand, connects a global network of 2,843 technology companies in 63 countries, along with entrepreneurs and technocrats.

Through this agreement, WTITC members can engage with Sharjah-based research institutions, universities, companies, and investors, while innovators within Sharjah can strengthen ties with international technology and business networks. The partnership aims to facilitate a two-way exchange to support Telugu companies and entrepreneurs in the UAE and GCC and provide Sharjah-based entities access to new markets and opportunities through WTITC's network.

Dr. Fareed Mahmoud Abdalla Alameeri emphasized that Sharjah's innovation ecosystem is increasingly linked to global technology, talent, and investment networks. The partnership with WTITC is expected to transform these connections into practical opportunities for research collaboration, technology development, and business growth. Sundeep Makthala noted that the collaboration offers a platform to connect the global Telugu technology community with Sharjah's advanced research and innovation ecosystem.

This strategic collaboration aims to build sustained international partnerships in research, technology, innovation, investment, and business expansion, further solidifying Sharjah's role as a hub for global technology collaboration and opening new avenues for entrepreneurs and innovators from both ecosystems.
