Sharjah Chamber Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreements in Spain to Enhance National Competencies

Sharjah: The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), through its Sharjah Training and Development Centre (STDC), successfully concluded a visit to Spain aimed at strengthening academic and training partnerships to empower national talent and enhance leadership competencies.

According to Emirates News Agency, the delegation led by Maryam Saif Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General for the Support Services Sector at SCCI, included Amal Abdullah Al Ali, Director of STDC, and other senior officials. The visit resulted in a strategic cooperation agreement with the University of Navarra, a leading institution in Europe for management and academic research. The agreement focuses on developing joint programs, expert exchange visits, and supporting international accreditation to align with global leadership trends.

The signing ceremony was held in Madrid, where Maryam Saif Al Shamsi and Jaime Garc­a del Barrio, General Director of the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) at the University of Navarra, formalized the partnership. The delegation also signed an agreement with the University of Salamanca to enhance academic collaboration and international accreditation of STDC's programs.

Maryam Saif Al Shamsi emphasized that the visit reflects the Sharjah Chamber's commitment to enhancing the global accreditation of its training programs. She described the agreement with the University of Navarra as a strategic milestone that supports STDC's initiatives in empowering national talent.

The delegation organized a "Design Thinking" workshop as part of the Strategic Business Leadership program at the University of Granada, reinforcing executive leadership through innovative methodologies. They also met with Ibrahim Ali Al Nuaimi, Head of Political Affairs, Media, and Public Diplomacy at the UAE Embassy in Spain, to discuss securing international accreditation for STDC's programs.

The visit included a field trip to the University of Granada to explore advanced academic experiences and research practices. The tour concluded with visits to the University's Archaeological Restoration Center and the Alhambra Palace, highlighting the Chamber's efforts to foster global leadership collaborations.
