Sharjah:The Sharjah Civil Defence Authority (SCDA), in collaboration with the Department of Statistics and Community Development, has launched the second phase of the "Safety Perception Survey 2026." This initiative seeks to gather accurate data on the public's sense of safety within the emirate to enhance community safety and protect lives and property.
According to Emirates News Agency, the survey is being conducted by field teams stationed at shopping malls throughout the emirate. This setup allows the public to engage and participate while visiting these locations, facilitating direct communication between the Authority and community members.
The Authority has encouraged mall visitors to participate in the survey, as community input is crucial in reflecting public experiences and perceptions. This participation contributes to a more precise understanding of the prevailing sense of safety, helping identify community needs and expectations.
All data collected will be treated with strict confidentiality to ensure privacy and encourage open expression of opinions. The Authority emphasized the importance of public cooperation in achieving the survey's goals and ensuring the protection of lives and property.
Additionally, a prize draw for home safety equipment sets will be conducted after the survey concludes. This initiative underscores the significance of home safety measures and encourages community members to share their views to help build a safer future in Sharjah.
