Abu Dhabi:The Sharjah Formula Team, linked with the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, has continued its excellent performance in the World Powerboat Championship by achieving significant results at the Shanghai Grand Prix. The event featured intense competition among top teams and drivers in the championship.
According to Emirates News Agency, Stefan Arand and Grant Trask, representing the Sharjah Team, secured second and third places, respectively. Their achievements emphasized the team's strength and its ability to contend for top positions in the international championship.
Stefan Arand now leads the World Championship standings with a total of 60 points, while his teammate Grant Trask follows in second place with 51 points. Additionally, Team Sharjah has claimed the second position in the World Team Championship standings with 84 points, reinforcing their strong pursuit of the world title as they aim for further success in upcoming rounds.
Ahmed Issa Al Hosani, Director General of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, highlighted that the results at the Shanghai Grand Prix reflect the high level the team has reached. He noted that the strong performances of the team drivers, along with their second-place finish in the general standings, serve as motivation for continued hard work and thorough preparations for future competitions.
