Sharjah: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri Decree concerning significant changes in the Department of Islamic Affairs (DIA) in the Emirate of Sharjah. The decree addresses the transfer, promotion, and appointment of a new chairman for the department.
According to Emirates News Agency, the decree mandates the transfer of Counsellor Dr. Issa Saif Ahmed bin Hanzel from his current position as Director of the Legal Department of Sharjah to the Department of Islamic Affairs. He has been promoted to the rank of 'Chairman of Department' under the Special Jobs System of the Sharjah Government. Dr. bin Hanzel is now appointed as Chairman of the Department of Islamic Affairs and will also serve as a member of the Sharjah Executive Council.
