Sharjah: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri Decree to establish the Dibba Al Hisn Suburb Council in Dibba Al Hisn. The newly formed council will be chaired by Dr. Salah Obaid Al Ghoul Al Salami.
According to Emirates News Agency, the decree appoints Dr. Salah Obaid Al Ghoul Al Salami as the chairperson, alongside a group of selected council members. These members include Rashid Ahmed Rashid Khassaw Al Naqbi, Ahmed Ali Sultan Al Tayari Al Dhahouri, Omar Darwish Ahmed Mahmoud Al Amiri, Mohammed Hassan Mohammed Al Mahwath Al Hammoudi, Mohammed Ali Saeed Obaid Khamboul, Asmaa Khalfan Mohammed Al Khabeel Al Naqbi, and Asmaa Mohammed Abdulrahman Al Tunaiji.
The decree further outlines that the council is to elect a vice president during its inaugural meeting. This election can occur either through mutual agreement or a direct secret ballot, requiring a majority vote from those present. The Vice President will assume the Chairman’
s duties in the event of absence or if the position becomes vacant.
The council members are appointed for a four-year term, commencing from the council’s formation date. Upon the term’s conclusion, members will maintain their responsibilities until a new council is formed. Additionally, members whose terms have ended are eligible for reappointment for another term.
