Sharjah: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri Decree for establishing the Al Bustan Suburb Council in Dhaid.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Decree appoints Dr. Ali Salem Saif Issa Al Tunaiji as Chairman of the Council. The members include Dr. Salem Musabah Obaid Mohammed Al Tunaiji, Ahmed Salem Ahmed Al Tunaiji, Salem Masoud Mohammed bin Yousef Al Tunaiji, Saif Mohammed Saeed Mohammed Al Shamsi, Musabah Mohammed Obaid bin Ahmed Al Tunaiji, Dr. Noura Mohammed Obaid bin Khalif Al Tunaiji, and Adija Obaid Khalfan Abdullah Al Tunaiji.
As outlined in the Emiri Decree, the Council is mandated to elect a Vice President during its inaugural meeting. This election will be conducted either by consensus or through a direct secret ballot, requiring a majority of those present. The Vice President is empowered to assume all responsibilities of the Chairman in cases of absence or if the Chairman’s position becomes vacant.
The Decre
e specifies that the tenure for council membership is four years, beginning from its formation date. Members are expected to continue fulfilling their roles even after their term expires until a new council is appointed. Additionally, members whose terms have concluded may be reappointed for an additional term.
