Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Inaugurates 58th Middle East Watch and Jewellery Show

Sharjah:H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated the 58th Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show, organized by Expo Centre Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event, which began on Wednesday, will continue until October 4.

According to Wam, the show is recognized as the largest of its kind on the UAE and regional calendar for specialized jewellery trade exhibitions. It features over 500 exhibitors from 19 countries, representing prominent international companies and brands specializing in watches, gold, precious gemstones, and exclusive jewellery pieces.

During the opening, Sheikh Abdullah toured the exhibition halls, examining the participating pavilions and the extensive range of products on display. He received in-depth explanations from company and brand representatives about the various design traditions, manufacturing advancements, and latest trends in the gold and jewellery market.

Sheikh Abdullah also visited numerous local and international stands, including those of the Sharjah Business Women Council and Emirati Goldsmiths. These stands highlight creations by leading Emirati female designers, showcasing innovations in jewellery inspired by Emirati heritage with a contemporary touch.

The event covers an area exceeding 30,000 square meters and includes five international pavilions from Hong Kong, India, Italy, Singapore, and Thailand. It offers a multitude of watches, jewellery, gold, diamonds, and precious gemstones, providing visitors the opportunity to explore diverse collections and the latest offerings.

Additionally, the exhibition serves as a platform for direct interaction between exhibitors, visitors, and industry professionals, facilitating the discovery of new products and collections and allowing brands to connect with an audience keen on the latest developments in the jewellery sector.

Sheikh Abdullah was accompanied by Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah; Mohammed Ahmed Al Awadhi, Director-General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry; along with members of the Sharjah Chamber's Board of Directors, government officials, and diplomats from participating countries.
