Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed Welcomes Australian Governor-General at Wahat Al Karama

Abu Dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs, received Sam Mostyn, Governor-General of Australia, at Wahat Al Karama in Abu Dhabi during her official visit to the UAE.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Governor-General, accompanied by Sheikh Theyab, reviewed the guard of honour and laid flowers at the memorial in front of the martyrs' monument. Mostyn was briefed on the significance of Wahat Al Karama, which commemorates the heroism and sacrifices of UAE nationals in defending their country.

Sheikh Theyab highlighted the progress in UAE-Australia relations, supported by the leadership of both nations, aimed at achieving mutual benefits for their peoples. He emphasized that Wahat Al Karama represents the UAE leadership's gratitude towards its heroes, celebrating the values of heroism and courage.

At the conclusion of her visit, Governor-General Mostyn wrote a message in the guestbook, expressing her appreciation for the UAE's martyrs.
